Welcome to my website I have begun uploading some non railway digital images which will be kept in separate collections. I have replaced all low-res images with high res ones, they are now available as downloads or from the print shop, for personal use only. Some of the older non-digital images may not be of suitable size to warrant high res downloads. Please ask for permission if required for more than personal use as they are all copyright of the owner., although that does not apply to most of the photos in the purchased images collection as the copyright has expired.
Due to image theft I am now adding a watermark to the images, this will NOT appear on purchased items. Lots more to come but it's a big project. Some of the pre digital photos may not be suitable for large prints. .
Most of my photography nowadays is from locations near to home, in & around Nottinghamshire, especially the Robin Hood Line, and the remaining stretch of the former Lancashire Derbyshire & East Coast Railway which is now just a branch from Shirebrook serving the High Marnham Test Track, which stretches from Welbeck Junction to High Marnham,. I often visit quieter locations, so there will be a few here that don't get photographed very often. I don't usually add a date to the captions, but I do add the file numbers, of which the first six digits of the file number are the date, backwards, the first two digits are - the year, the next two - the month, followed by two for - the day. The final three digits are the individual file numbers for that day.
Keywords___ most photo's are given at least 3 keywords, such as 'location', 'loco class', 'operating company', a list of these is displayed lower down the page. Alternately there is a search facility at the top of the page. If anyone is interested in using any of my photo's, either commercially or otherwise please feel free to contact me. Please remember though that all the Images on this site are copyright of the site owner.
